HSK Exam Guide Taking HSK and HSKK on the same day: start times on the official pages
HSK Levels 2, 4 and 6 start at 09:00 on their level pages. HSK Levels 1, 3 and 5 start at 13:30. The HSK Speaking pages print a test time for each area type, or a single time for Advanced, and the regulations say that HSK Level 5 and Level 6 tests cannot be registered for on the same day at this time.
HSK level start times
Each HSK level page has a "Test Start Time" line. The line gives a local time.
| Level | Start time (local time) |
|---|---|
| HSK Level 1 | 13:30 |
| HSK Level 2 | 09:00 |
| HSK Level 3 | 13:30 |
| HSK Level 4 | 09:00 |
| HSK Level 5 | 13:30 |
| HSK Level 6 | 09:00 |
HSK Speaking test times
HSKK is the name this site uses for the HSK Speaking test. The three HSK Speaking pages give test times in a different form from the level pages.
| Page | Line on the page | Time (local time) |
|---|---|---|
| HSK Speaking (Elementary) | Areas where HSK and HSK Speaking are combined | 15:40 |
| HSK Speaking (Elementary) | Other areas | 16:30 |
| HSK Speaking (Intermediate) | Areas where HSK and HSK Speaking are combined | 11:25 |
| HSK Speaking (Intermediate) | Other areas | 16:30 |
| HSK Speaking (Advanced) | Start time | 16:30 |
The Elementary and Intermediate test-time lines do not say which areas are "combined". The pages do not list those areas. To find the time that applies to you, check your admission ticket and ask your test centre.
The Advanced page gives one start time. It has no separate line for combined areas.
Registering for HSK Level 5 and Level 6 on the same day
The regulations page has a section on signing up as a user of the Chinese Test Service Website. In that section, a sentence about multiple registrations reads: "HSK Level 5 and Level 6 tests cannot be registered for on the same day at this time".
This sentence is about registration. It does not give a start time or a test time for either level.
