How to find an HSK test centre for your country
To find an HSK test centre for your country, use the official Chinese Test Service Website at www.chinesetest.cn. The HSK page there has a button labelled 'Find a Test Center', and the HSK 3.0 launch notice tells candidates to "find information about test centers in your country" on that site. This site does not list test centres.
Finding a centre during registration
The registration steps on the regulations page show where you choose a centre. The second step is titled Select the Test Type, Test Date, and Test center. In that step:
- Click 'Book a Test'.
- Select the test type, test level, test format and test date.
- Select the test center.
The regulations page also says that if you leave or disconnect before paying the test fee, you should pay as soon as possible after pre-registration. It says this so that you can complete registration if the seats fill up.
What the centre handles
The regulations page sets different rules for centres in other parts of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions) and centres in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan or overseas. The rule that applies follows the centre where you register.
| Item | Centres in other parts of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions) | Centres in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan or overseas |
|---|---|---|
| Fee payment | Online, by quick payment, online banking, QR code payment, or JCB/VISA/Master card. You are redirected to the payment platform. | Paid on-site at the test center, or by the method the test center specifies. |
| Mailing information | Required. You fill it in after the personal information section. | Not required. |
| Withdrawal or rescheduling request | Made by logging in to the Chinese Test Service Website and opening "Exam Records" in "My Account". | Made by contacting the test center. The test center confirms whether you meet the conditions. |
| Score report | Sent from the headquarters within 5 working days after score release, to the mailing address you gave. | Sent to the local test center about 45 days after the exam. You must contact the test center to collect it. |
The payment step says that once registration is confirmed and the fee is paid, no application for withdrawal, refund, or change of exam type, level, format or test center will be accepted. This sentence is in the payment step for registrations at centres in other parts of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions). The page places it under that group only.
The regulations page says score reports are valid for two years as proof of a candidate's language proficiency.
Withdrawal and refund periods
The Rules of Withdrawal of Test/Refund section gives three periods, counted from the test date:
- Within 27 days before the test date, including the 27th day: a full refund of the test service fee can be applied for.
- From 27 days before the test date, excluding the 27th day, to 10 days before the test date, including the 10th day: a 50% refund can be applied for.
- After the 10th day before the test date, excluding the 10th day: no further requests for withdrawal or refund are accepted.
The section says only one application for withdrawal will be accepted per test registration. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 working days after the application is formally accepted. The section names no region for these periods.
HSK 3.0 dates and CTI figures

- Paper-based test registration: until 24:00 on 16 November 2026 (Beijing Time).

What this page does not cover
This article gives no fee amounts. For the fee for your test and your centre, check the registration steps on the official site or ask the test centre. The launch notice and the regulations page do not name a centre in any country. Ask the test centre for your country, or check the official site, for the centres available to you.
